Extracurricular Positions

  1. Department Academic Mentor (Apr ’19 - May '21)
    Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay
    I was selected as a student mentor, through extensive peer reviews and interviews, to help academically weak students to improve and maximize the academic potential of all students. I am also obligated to identify problems of the general student populace and bring them to the notice of the concerned authorities. Last year, I was responsible for mentoring and motivating 4 students and playing a key role in their overall development. This year I am responsible for 7 students.

  2. Editor (Apr ’18 - Mar ’19)
    Insight, IIT Bombay
    Insight is the official print student media body of IIT Bombay, circulated to 10,000+ students and 650+ faculty members with an online readership of over 0.4 million. I was part of the 22 member team responsible for managing Insight. I was awarded the Institute Journalism Special Mention award for my contribution. I led various initiatives like interviewing professors for the 'Know Your Prof' video series to enhance student-faculty interaction and spearheading the University Series by contacting and collecting testimonials from IIT Bombay students doing their graduate degree abroad, along with writing opinion pieces and information dissemination articles.

  3. Convenor (Apr ’17 - Mar ’18)
    IIT Bombay Broadcasting Channel (IITBBC)
    IITBBC is the official student multimedia body of IIT Bombay, responsible for regular broadcast of events occurring in the institute with 49,000+ subscribers on YouTube and 26,000+ followers on Facebook. I was part of the 7 member team. We curated and created successful coverage of interviews, social drives, protests, interactive sessions and major events across the institute to provide an insight about campus life and activities.

Extracurricular Activities

  1. Awarded ‘Hostel 10 Cultural Colour’ for exceptional contribution to film-making at IIT Bombay

  2. Aided in setting up self-defence workshops for women as social initiative of Techfest, IIT Bombay

  3. Assisted in Techfest's Sanitary Health Education campaign distributing 0.2M sanitary pads

  4. Part of the 13 member Institute Women's Volleyball Team for the Inter-IIT camp, 2016

  5. First Runner up in Segreta, the biggest Online Crypt Hunt, conducted by Techfest ’16 among 6000+ participants

  6. Conceptualized and conducted the Mood Indigo Treasure Hunt which attracted 1000+ participants

  7. Garnered 30,000+ readership on the Techfest ’17 blog by generating avant-garde content

  8. Received special mention in Freshiezza ’16 music video making competition, among 900 freshmen

  9. Member of the fine arts team of ‘Ranbhoomi’, the winner at Performing Arts Festival, 2017
